Diary of a Writer

Diary of a writer who cannot write

My first blog post, which seems like many moons ago, went on about how I was going to embrace my writing fears, let go of the past and it was going to be magical!
Well, as most things go, that too went down the toilet with a big splash and swirl and gone forever.
It appears my favourite thing to do is procrastinate, which, from the extensive research I’ve done to conquer this debilitating writing fear, is a popular thing to do amongst authors.
I’m part of the majority! Woo hoo!
I can spin a tale that will always land with a reason why I cannot write today, or tomorrow, or next week, or the week after that! You get my point… And quite frankly, I’m bloody sick of it!
Time to grab the proverbial bull by his horns and jump in, feet first, and just hope I don’t land in a pile of bull crap.

What to expect from this blog?

Well, I’d say that’s a very good question actually, because to be honest, I’ve no clue either.
At first I had these great plans of blogging about my travels, which I still want to do. But as with every other flutter of inspiration, the bloom of desire to write a piece that keeps me up all night, the crippling hand of fear with its gnarly fingers curls around my frame and crushes my bones until I’m left with a dust pile that was once my ambition.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Until then, much love,
Robyn.
